Double main event for Fierce Females first anniversary

Kay Lee Ray Carmel Jacob Crazy Mary Dobson Viper ICW Fierce Females

While we don’t know who the Insane Championship Wrestling: Fierce Females Scottish Champion is going to be by the time the promotion’s first anniversary show rolls around, we know the two main events will be for the show, and whoever goes into the event as the titleholder will be defending the belt on the September 22 show in Glasgow, Scotland.

On August 25, current champion Kay Lee Ray defends the title against Carmel Jacob in Edinburgh with the same stipulations which the pair competed under on the first show last September – Last Woman Standing rules. Should Ray retain the championship, she will have to put the belt on the line against the woman who she had to defeat to win the title in the first place. Viper is more than capable of winning the title, and came tantalisingly close to becoming the first champion at May’s Luke… Who’s Yer Da? show in what was a sparkling end to a great card. However, considering the madness of that contest – including a huge balcony dive by Kay Lee, just what else do they have in reserves? We’ll likely find out, regardless of whether or not it is for the title…

Alternatively, should Jacob wrest the championship away from her longtime rival, she will defend the title against Crazy Mary Dobson, who made a huge impression in her debut in May, defeating Bete Noire in an eyebrow-raising hardcore match. On the same show, Carmel put away Leah Von Dutch in a technically sound, enjoyable match. While Carmel isn’t above using weapons and risking her body to get the win, will Dobson be able to deal with Jacob’s technical ability, should the match go to the mat? One would expect her to be in a better position to do so by the time September 22 rolls around, as she is spending her summer in Japan working with the Diana promotion.

Portia Perez Nikki StormAlso announced for the show is who will face Portia Perez, and it’s going to be Nikki Storm, who will face the Canadian NINJA regardless of the outcome of her Bra and Panties match against Leah Owens in Edinburgh. It’s the start of what is likely to be a big few weeks for the Glaswegian who travels to the US soon afterward to make her American debut at Absolute Intense Wrestling‘s Girls Night Out 9 & 10 shows on October 6.

So there you have it – three big matches to kick off the official build up to September 22. Fierce Females’ XX “It’s in our DNA” will take place at the Classic Grand in Glasgow. Considering how great the last show was, this one has a lot to live up to – though we think it will achieve it. Click here to buy tickets.
