Bellatrix 7 card revealed: Bellatrix and Femmes Fatales titles on the line! Saraya vs Melissa! Plus, Bellatrix 8 debuts announced!

Courtney RushWe’ve just had the announcement of the full card for Bellatrix 7, featuring the five previously announced SHIMMER imports – along with an intriguing domestic return. Heading up the card will see the UK debut of the Bellatrix World Champion Courtney Rush (right), putting her title on the line against the RQW European Champion Liberty, fresh off her main event win at Bellatrix 6 – while Saraya Knight and Cheerleader Melissa return to Norfolk to (presumably) finally settle the 6+ year feud that first erupted in Great Yarmouth in January 2007.

Also, we will see the first overseas defence of the NCW:Femmes Fatales International Title as Mercedes Martinez will put her title on the line against Norwegian star Miss Mina. Along with the SHIMMER vs Bellatrix bouts, Erin Angel will defend her Bellatrix British Ladies Championship against the returning Sammi Baynes. Not sure who Sammi Baynes is? You may remember her as the other half of the Norfolk Dolls tag team with Britani KnightMelodi!

1. Bellatrix British Championship: Erin Angel (c) vs Sammi Baynes
2. Christina Von Eerie vs Skarlett
3. Destiny vs LuFisto
4. NCW:FF International Title: Mercedes Martinez (c) vs Miss Mina
5. Cheerleader Melissa vs Saraya Knight
6. Bellatrix World Championship: Courtney Rush (c) vs Liberty

I think a lot of the smart money would have been on Liberty getting the nod to challenge Courtney Rush for the World Title – as the European Champion and biggest shooting star of the Bellatrix promotion, it always seemed likely that she would get this opportunity. It’s a fantastic chance for her to show a worldwide audience that she’s the next big breakout star in Britain and ready to move to the next level. A similar opportunity presents itself for Mina, a Bellatrix mainstay, who will be taking on arguably the most consistently excellent female wrestler in the world today – Mercedes Martinez. Martinez, you might remember, had been due to debut for the promotion on the first Bellatrix show in March last year, so it’s a long time coming to see Martinez in the Bellatrix ring.

Sweet Saraya severs her kneecap against Cheerleader Melissa in 2007. Photo: Sarah BarracloughAs for Saraya Knight vs Cheerleader Melissa… well, what else can we say? Melissa’s SHIMMER Championship won’t be on the line for the match, but it’s a rematch that has been years in the making here in the UK. While Saraya and Melissa have revisited their feud in the last year in SHIMMER (trading the SHIMMER Title and even main eventing SHIMMER’s first ever iPPV in a Steel Cage), UK fans last saw Melissa and Saraya in the same place at the same time in RQW in 2007 – at the scene of the knee injury that nearly ended Saraya’s career. Their head to head is currently locked at 2 wins each, and one no-contest. Expect a war between these two.

Lufisto vs Destiny should be a slobberknocker of a match – likely to be high impact *and* drama – while Christina Von Eerie vs Skarlett looks likely to be a battle between two very similar wrestlers, both stylistically and with their punk look. Both will be looking for a win to propel their career forward.

The show will be broadcast worldwide on iPPV from Epic Studios in Norwich, Norfolk on October 6th, and will be part of the wider Open Female Fight Season banner – an international series of shows including SHIMMER Women Athletes, NCW: Femmes Fatales, AIW Girls Night Out, Women Superstars Uncensored and SHINE Wrestling. Tickets are on sale from Saraya directly – contact her via email.

UPDATE: In the last few hours, the roster list for Bellatrix 8 started to emerge. It has been confirmed that Leva Bates, Jessicka Havok and Allysin Kay will make the trip to Norwich for the event, which will take place in March 2014.
