Bumper card announced for SHINE 14 – Rain v Hiroyo Matsumoto, plus Jessicka Havok v Saraya Knight

SHINE logoSHINE Wrestling‘s internationally-spiced cards have grown to be a big attraction, and SHINE 14 will be one of those occasions. Brought about because of the global talent flying into the US for the SHIMMER tapings on October 19-20, the next show at Ybor City, FL on October 25 will see the debut of joshi talent, an ongoing feud settled and a SHIMMER Tag Team Title defence, should the champions make it through four DVD tapings the week before.

Headlining the event is Rain defending the SHINE Championship against Hiroyo Matsumoto, while fellow joshi Tomoka Nakagawa is set to defend the SHIMMER Tag straps alongside her 3G partner Kellie Skater against Rain’s Valkyrie stablemates Allysin Kay and Ivelisse Velez, who defeated Amazing Kong and Jessicka Havok last Friday as part of the excellent SHINE 13 card.

As for the losers in that tag match from last week – well, they’ll certainly have their hands full. Havok looks to settle the score against Saraya Knight in a Last Woman Standing Match following their brawl around the Orpheum as part of the SHINE Championship Tournament at SHINE 11, which was won by Havok via DQ – though Saraya attacked her before her semi-final against Rain, causing her to be eliminated via count out. Hopefully, the pair can put their issues to rest.

Meanwhile, Kong takes on another former SHIMMER Champion in Madison Eagles as part of one of three contests described as “international dream matches”. The other two globally-influenced match-ups see Nikki Storm – who lost to Mia Yim in the Match of the Night at SHINE 13 – taking on Nikki Roxx– who is enjoying a winning streak in the promotion at the moment; while Shanna returns after being beaten by Angelina Love at SHINE 12 to take on Yim and Australia’s Savannah Summers, who – like Matsumoto and Nakagawa – will be making her SHINE debut.

Elsewhere, Mercedes Martinez faces Kimberly after the latter appeared to help out Daffney‘s All Star Squad after Martinez beat Solo Darling last week – and Darling is also in action after her standout performance, where she will take on an edgier Su Yung, who won a four way on Friday. Rounding off the card is a contest which also came about after SHINE 13 – Leva Bates teams up with the American Sweethearts team of Santana Garrett and Amber O’Neal against the SNS Express, consisting of Sassy Stephie, Nevaeh and Jessie Belle Smothers.

This is a strong card, and fans should expect some quality matches as part of the event. While you can’t order the event on iPPV yet, when it does become available you can get it at WWN Live.
