Xandra Bale to face Cheerleader Melissa at NCW Femmes Fatales XIII

Xandra Bale Cheerleader Melissa NCWFFAdversity for one Canadian has meant opportunity for another.

When Courtney Rush went down with her broken collarbone on September 15, it through two big matches into flux. One was sorted out pretty quickly with her Bellatrix World Title defence against Liberty scheduled for Sunday’s Bellatrix 7 show postponed until next March, it left a question mark over who would replace Rush in the number one contender’s match at NCW Femmes Fatales XIII against Cheerleader Melissa – which was set to be a rematch following their inconclusive ending to their contest back in July. Yesterday, that was cleared up when Rush selected Xandra Bale to take her spot and hand her a tremendous opportunity to become the next challenger to Mercedes Martinez‘s International Championship.

Bale has enjoyed a lot of high points so far in 2013. She made her SHIMMER debut in April, travelled to Women Superstars Uncensored in August, debuted in SHINE Wrestling last Friday and was also part of Team Canada for Smash Wrestling‘s CANUSA Classic last month. She could close out Femmes Fatales’ final show of the year as the next challenger to the title.

However, that left a hole elsewhere on the card. Bale was meant to team with Leah Von Dutch as part of a 2 out of 3 falls match against Deziree and Midianne to settle a long-running feud – instead, Von Dutch will link with Kaitlin Diemond to face Midianne and the monstrous Bettie Rage, who replaces an injured Deziree.

Tickets for the show at Centre St-Bathelemy in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on October 26 are still available. You can order tickets by clicking here.
