NCW Femmes Fatales XIII main event altered – Sweet Saraya out, Cheerleader Melissa in

NCWFF Cheerleader Melissa Mercedes Martinez Sweet Cherrie LuFisto

The card for this Saturday’s NCW Femmes Fatales XIII card has undergone a number of changes over the past month. It all began when Courtney Rush broke her collarbone in mid-September, with Xandra Bale taking her place in the #1 contender match against Cheerleader Melissa. However, things were thrown into flux again when Bale broke her fibula at Women Superstars Uncensored‘s Blood and Thunder, leaving Melissa without an opponent for the second time. Just before yesterday’s Roundup was posted, Femmes Fatales revealed that Melissa would be slotted into the 3-way involving Kimber Lee, Angie Skye & Christina Von Eerie – though that match was reverted back to the 3-way less than 24 hours later.

Less than an hour ago, Femmes Fatales tweeted that Saraya Knight will not be able to make it to the event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for personal reasons – and in her place will go Melissa, who now teams up with Mercedes Martinez against LuFisto and Sweet Cherrie, meaning the #1 contender match has been scrapped for the show.

While this scuppers the interwoven storylines which stemmed from Femmes Fatales XI when then-SHIMMER Champion Saraya beat LuFisto to retain the title, and Femmes Fatales XII where International Champion Martinez defended her belt against Cherrie, it does bring things up to speed with current events. At last weekend’s SHIMMER tapings (click here and here for results), an alliance was formed between champion Melissa and Mercedes, with both having hostility against LuFisto. In addition, the hostility has become a blood feud because of the 10 stitches Melissa received following a stray elbow by the Super Hardcore Anime during their title match on Volume 60 – and the titleholder got her Mercedes Martinez Sweet Cherrie NCWFFrevenge on Volume 61 by knocking LuFisto out with her belt in order for Martinez to defeat her.

With the recent bad blood involved in-between Martinez, Melissa and LuFisto – coupled with the history with Cherrie and Mercedes – this has all the makings of a war, though not the war which was originally advertised.

Tickets for the show are still available – you can get more information by clicking here.
