Both Bellatrix and NCW Femmes Fatales have started to announce their big matches for their first shows of 2014, and now it’s the turn of Women Superstars Uncensored, which is running its first card of the year before either of the others. It has announced Jessicka Havok‘s next challenger for the WSU Championship, and it will be a “perfect” competitor.
By virtue of winning the International J-Cup at WSU’s Secret Show in October and following it up with another victory the following day at Blood And Thunder, Shanna has earned a crack at Jessicka’s title – a belt which Havok has held since April 28, 2012, and has successfully defended against the likes of Lexxus, Alicia, Mercedes Martinez and Athena. It’s unfortunate that a number of scheduled defences against LuFisto and Athena for a second time didn’t come to fruition through injury last year, but it seems that Havok’s title defences are getting back on track.
As for Portugal’s Perfect Athlete, she won the International J-Cup On October 11 by beating Santana Garrett, Jewells Malone and Nikki Storm in the one-night tournament, and then followed it up at Blood And Thunder by defeating Leah Von Dutch. It capped off a successful pair of trips to the US, spending plenty of time wrestling for WSU and making a great impression with the promotion and fans along the way. Shanna debuted at August’s Uncensored Rumble alongside Chris Dickinson, falling to Addy Starr and Matt Tremont, as well as competing in the Uncensored Rumble match itself. She also competed twice for Combat Zone Wrestling – falling to Nevaeh in August and teaming with Kimber Lee in October to beat Nevaeh and Christina Von Eerie. Essentially, Shanna is on a five match winning streak in WSU or WSU-affiliated matches. With a run like that, it’s clear that she is a top contender for Havok’s title.
WSU Mutiny takes place in Voorhees, NJ on February 8. Tickets go on sale next week.
