The momentum for Women Superstars Uncensored‘s next show is now starting to gather pace. After announcing a week ago that Shanna would challenge Jessicka Havok for the WSU Championship, the promotion has now revealed that two wrestlers will make their returns on the February 8 show.
The first comeback revealed was LuFisto, who was last seen in a WSU ring defeating Mercedes Martinez in a great Falls Count Anywhere match in the main event of An Ultraviolent Affair, capping off a top feud between the two which saw the Super Hardcore Anime cost the Latina Sensation the chance to regain the WSU Title at the Uncensored Rumble V in June 2012 and then engage in a 30 minute stalemate at Full Steam Ahead in October LuFisto was due to challenge for the WSU Title at Queen and King of the Ring last May, but had to miss the event after suffering an exploded kneecap at SHIMMER 53 the previous month.
The other return will see Athena return from a serious injury which she suffered at the first WSU Secret Show the day before her scheduled title challenge against Havok at the Uncensored Rumble VI. After landing awkwardly on a German suplex, the Wrestling Goddess was left with a Grade 2 AC tear and bruised shoulder blade with cartilage damage. After six months of recovery, she is now raring to go again.
It will be interesting to see what matches will be booked for them at Mutiny in Voorhees, NJ. Both of them suffered injuries which meant that they did not receive their championship opportunities, and are still yet to challenge for the belt. With Shanna getting the shot next month, they will have to wait their turn, but one would expect them to get the chance at the belt which they had earned.
In addition, the Midwest Militia have been placed in the last chance saloon. Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay have been told that they will defend the WSU Tag Team Championship against the Chicks Using Nasty Tactics combination of Annie Social and Kimber Lee or be stripped of the titles. It’s a contest which has been booked and not come to fruition on a number of occasions for one reason or another. In fact, the last time the Militia defended the titles was on April 28, 2012 against Luscious Latasha and Jana, and have not put the belts on the line since Beyond Wrestling took over the promotion in June of that year. They will either defend the titles on February 8 or not have them anymore.
