It’s rapidly approaching again – Anarchy Championship Wrestling presents its sixth American Joshi Queen of Queens tournament on June 29 in Austin, TX and five names have been revealed. Three are ACW regulars, while the other two will be making their debuts in the promotion.
American Joshi Champion Su Yung will be competing in her third tournament, while 2012 winner Athena will be looking to become the first ever two-time Queen and Jessica James will be hoping to go one better than in 2010 where she lost in the final to Portia Perez. Joining them will be Philadelphia’s Jenny Rose, while Candice LeRae will be coming from the West Coast. Both of the new faces bring their own strengths – Rose has spent huge amounts of time in japan in the last few years before making a full-time return to the US at the start of this year, while LeRae has been adding to the list of promotions she has made big impressions including SHIMMER and Women Superstars Uncensored, as well as making an appearance in TNA last year.
There are three more names to be announced, and considering they are also on the poster, one would assume that last year’s victor Angel Blue and Anarchy Televised titleholder Barbi Hayden will be part of the proceedings. As for number eight, could it be a former winner like Perez, or a former finalist like Jessicka Havok – admittedly, Daizee Haze and Rachel Summerlyn are unlikely to be added – or someone new? Could it be someone like Miss Diss Lexia, who has been on ACW cards, a completely fresh face like Paige Turner, or someone with years of ring experience and numerous accomplishments under her belt?
We will find out in the coming weeks, and we will have a sixth ACW Queen on June 29. Click here for details on tickets.
