Angelus Layne‘s victory at Thursday’s IWA Mid-South show in Clarksville, IN came at a price. During her win over Thunderkitty, Randi West and Heidi Lovelace, she attempted a spot where she was to dive to the outside only for there to be nobody to connect with. The plan was for her to land on the chairs at ringside but she came short, leading to her splatting onto the concrete floor. She continued with the match but needed to go to the hospital for a diagnosis, where she was told she had broken both of her wrists.
The 24 year old is currently in bandages, though she will be put into plaster on Tuesday – where she will also find out whether or not she needs surgery. However, she is hoping to be fully healed by the end of June, as she has a big weekend planned.
By way of winning the four way on Thursday, Layne was given the right to pick her next opponent, and selected LuFisto, whom she will wrestle in non-tournament action at the IWA Mid-South Queen of the Deathmatches show on June 28 in New Albany, IN. The following day, she is due to head to Austin, TX to compete in her second Anarchy Championship Wrestling American Joshi Queen of Queens tournament after crashing out in the first round last year to Leva Bates.
We hope that Angelus gets the prognosis she wants on Tuesday and is able to wrestle LuFisto and at Queen of Queens – but most of all, we wish her a full recovery.
