Tamina Snuka could be out of action for much of the rest of 2014 after undergoing major knee surgery on Wednesday.
The 36-year old revealed that she went under the knife the following day, tweeting a picture of her left leg in a brace – as you can see in the photo to the right. The Wrestling Observer reports that the injury occurred during a match, though is unspecific as to which one. Her most recent encounter was a loss to Paige on the SmackDown taping on May 27, though it’s also possible that it happened on the European tour where she wrestled 10 matches in as many days, most of which were six woman tags or triple threat encounters.
The WO also says that she may be out of action for up to six months, which means that she may not be back in action until December – though it could be longer or shorter depending on the healing and rehabilitation.
This is the most major injury that Tamina has suffered. Up until this point, the biggest ailment she has experienced is a back injury which she picked up during the infamous Diva battle royal on the August 20, 2012 episode of Raw where Kaitlyn won by accident – it kept Snuka out of action for around three months. When she returned, she was repackaged as a heel doing Vickie Guerrero‘s bidding and attacking AJ Lee.
