Considering the amount of talent in Scotland, you could argue that Fierce Females could present an entire card of women who currently live in the country – and that has been the case at the first two “smaller” shows which it has presented so far this year (results here and here). For its first super card of 2014 – dubbed Mad Maxine – the promotion has elected to book some first-time-ever matches featuring some of the prominent names involved with Bellatrix.
The highest-profile of the three announced contests taking place on July 20 in Glasgow will see Bete Noire take on Saraya Knight. Fierce Females says the reason why the match was put together is because of Noire’s hard hitting matches in the past, specifically her brutal war against Crazy Mary Dobson in May last year. Elsewhere, Sammii Jayne‘s elevation in the promotion over the past couple of shows sees her booked against Bellatrix World Champion Liberty in non-title action in what will be the Englishwoman’s first match north of the border. Also making her Scottish debut will be RQW European Women’s Champion Sammi Baynz, who will face Viper in what promises to be a hard-hitting affair, if Baynz’s matches with Blue Nikita this year are any sort of indication.
A collaboration between a Scottish and English promotion is nothing new for Saraya. She worked alongside husband Ricky in 2008 for the Scottish Wrestling Alliance‘s Gathering II show, where they faced Majik and a rooking Nikki Storm. From what we can assertion, this will be Knight’s first appearance in Scotland since then.
Already announced for the show are two matches which stem from Fierce Females Return of the Queen of Hardcore show earlier this month, with Nikki Storm challenging Kay Lee Ray for the Scottish Championship, while Sara-Marie Taylor and Carmel Jacob take on Leah and Kasey Owens in a Tag Team Elimination Last Woman Standing Match.
Tickets are still available for the show, which is rapidly taking shape. You can order yours by clicking here.
