Kay Lee Ray advances to final three in TNA British Boot Camp; announced for UK tour

Kay Lee Ray Tony KnoxIt’s been a big few days for Kay Lee Ray. It began on Saturday when she defeated Addy Starr with a Gory Bomb in a well received contest at XWA Wrestling’s show in Colchester, England. Then last night, viewers in the UK saw the high-flying Scot advance to the final three competitors of TNA British Boot Camp 2 along with Mark Andrews and Rampage Brown. Kay Lee will battle Gail Kim on next wee’s final episode and will find out if she will be the one to score the contract.

The 22-year old was part of a 8-person tag team match on last night’s show, teaming with Grado, Andrews and Al Snow to take on Brown, Dave Mastiff, Noam Dar and Angelina Love. While it was an effort to get some decent time in the spotlight due to the sheer number of wrestlers involved, KLR spent a decent amount of time in the ring with Love and got to demonstrate her aerial ability with a springboard missile dropkick and a suicide dive to the outside.

You can watch the full episode below, and then read on to find out Kay Lee’s latest good news:

While many mocked the premise of the show, it appears to have done wonders for the profiles of the wrestlers who have been a success on the programme, and regardless of whether she wins of not, this caps off a great year for the daredevil redhead which has seen her show off her heel persona in Fierce Females, thrill fans in the US at SHIMMER and Absolute Intense Wrestling and compete for a personal record number of promotions, racking up more than 60 contests so far this year, 13 of those in October. Better still, she’ll enjoy wrestling in front of some big audiences in around two months’ time.

Earlier today, TNA President Dixie Carter made the announcement that KLR and the rest of the six British Boot Camp finalists will be on each of the three UK shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London between January 29-31, which will all be TV tapings for Impact Wrestling on Destination America. She will join Kim, Love and reigning Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell – although Velvet Sky, who was previously announced for the show, is absent from the updated list.
