CHIKARA Aniversario results

CHIKARA celebrates ten years of promoting cards with its Aniversario weekend, featuring four stars from Japan’s Sendai Girls promotion, including its founder, Meiko Satomura.

Satomura was last in the US last December, but not in a wrestling capacity – she was due to be part of the JoshiMania three show weekend, but was forced to pull out due to injury, so appeared for the training sessions, but didn’t wrestle on the cards. It was a big shame, as she was due to wrestle Sara Del Rey, but that had to be shelved.

That is, until this weekend.

Del Rey and Satomura clashed on this afternoon’s show in New York, NY, but last night, six women competed on the first Anniversario night in Easton, PA, entitled “A Horse of Another Color”. Click the jump and we’ll furnish you with the results from both Easton and New York…

• In the all-Sendai Girls contest, Meiko Satomura and Kagetsu defeated DASH Chisako and Sendai Sachiko in 18:12. Satomura used a Death Valley Driver to pin Sachiko.
• In the main event Atomicos match, Sara Del Rey, Jigsaw, Shane Matthews and Green Ant beat Saturyne, Eddie Kingston, Soldier Ant and Scott Parker – Jigsaw pinned Grand Champion Kingston with a Super Brainbuster following 23:30 of action. The match must be especially sweet for the rooke Saturyne, who only debuted in CHIKARA about six months ago.
• On the Sunday card in New York, Kagetsu defeated Saturyne at the 5:46 mark with a Samoan Drop.
DASH Chisako and Sendai Sachiko defeated Lance and Harlem Bravado with an assisted rana at 14:14.
Sara Del Rey scored a massive victory over Meiko Satomura at the 16:25 point with two Royal Butterflies. This adds another joshi scalp to Del Rey’s CHIKARA pile, which also includes Ayako Hamada, Tsubasa Kuragaki and Aja Kong.
